Mission Statement

 

Scotland Place Senior Center strives to enrich the lives of Scotland County adults 55 and older through programs and services that will improve their health and wellness, decrease their loneliness and isolation, as well as provide social economic and education opportunities.

2010 Senior Games

The Scotland County Senior Games have concluded for this years local games. The games began April 23 and ended with the Silver Arts Banquet on May 7th. Seniors  participated in  shuffleboard, bocce, billiards, tennis, horseshoes, track events, cycling, football and softball throw, swimming, basketball shoot, spin casting, walking events and Silver Arts. This year is a qualifying year for the National Senior Games.

Monthly Senior Trip

Take a trip with us!!

Thursday May 27th, at 8 am the van will leave Scotland Place Senior Center for the trip to North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. The cost for the trip is $6.00 per person for transportation, plus $7.00 entrance fees. You will be able to have a dialog with a diver. See the staff feed the animals. Lunch is on your own at a local restaurant. Payment confirms your seat. Registration for the trip starts May 4th. Capacity is 26. Please call 277-2585 for more information.
